Brew & Grind Guide

Grind Options Explained

We offer grinding on our 10oz retail bags to match how you brew at home. To keep thing fresh and tasting good we can grind up the 3 bags per order. Anything more than that, we recommend going whole bean.

Here’s a quick guide to help you pick what’s best for you:

Whole Bean

Best for: Maximum freshness + flexibility
Why: Grinding it right before you brew is the best way to get peak freshness and flavor.
Recommended for:

  • Anyone with a grinder at home

  • Customizing grind for your specific brew method

  • People who want the freshest cup possible

Medium Grind

Best for: Drip machines + pour overs
Why: Medium grind allows even extraction for clean, smooth cups

Recommended for:

  • Drip coffee machines

  • Pour-over (V60, Kalita Wave, Chemex)

  • AeroPress (with medium brew time or standard recipes)

Coarse Grind

Best for: Immersion brewing with long brew times
Why: Chunkier grind slows down extraction, great for full-bodied cups

Recommended for:

  • French Press

  • Cold Brew

  • Percolators

Fine Grind

Best for: Fast, pressure-based brewing
Why: Fine grind extracts flavor quickly under pressure = bold, intense flavor

Recommended for:

  • Espresso machines

  • Moka Pot

  • AeroPress (with short brew time or pressure-focused recipes)

Heads up:

  • We only grind 10oz retail bags

  • 5lb bags are always whole bean.

  • We don’t currently grind 10oz retail bags for wholesale orders.
